Our story
It started in 1977 
with a hanky.Â
When our founder, designer Gale Epstein crafted lingerie from a Victorian-era handkerchief, her little experiment quickly caught the fashion world’s attention. By the 1980s, Hanky Panky transformed the thong from uncomfortable and provocative to effortless, wearable, and iconic.
